Taking inspiration from Miyamoto Musashi’s The Book of Five Rings, and using its elemental structure (Ground, Water, Wind, Fire, Void) as a framework.

LAYERING OF MEDIA AND MEANING
These collages employ diverse materials—found objects, graphite drawings, photographs, typographic elements, and acrylics. The varied textures and forms serve as metaphors for the complexity and layered nature of perception. While individual collages tell their own stories, in this book they contribute to a larger dialogue, connecting personal exploration with universal ideas about clarity, duality, and existence.

STRUCTURAL NARRATIVE AS A TOOL
Incorporating textual excerpts, diagrams, and literary reflections alongside the collages creates a dual narrative: visual and intellectual. This method departs from standalone visual storytelling, engaging the viewer in a rhythmic interplay of thought and imagery. The progression through the book mirrors a journey, guiding the audience through distinct phases of understanding and introspection.

A UNIFIED NARRATIVE
Unlike independent collages that might function as isolated meditations, the book’s structure encourages the viewer to experience my work as a continuous narrative. Synthesizing themes from philosophy, modern scientific imagery, and my own artistic vision, this narrative arc is an exploration of the void as a state of existence beyond confusion and form.

Through philosophical underpinnings, a multidisciplinary approach, and structural coherence; this book… My Book Of The VOID, is a narrative artifact—a conversation between form, meaning, and the existential questions that inspired it.
